Lebanese singer Pascal Mashaalan was presented with the award for Best Song for the year 2005 in Morocco. The singer won the award for her song “Akbar Kidba Bi Hayati” (The Biggest Lie in My Life) after a poll was held on the Moroccan local television channel.

Pascal’s song received the highest number of viewer votes. The organizers at the television network held a press conference for the occasion and Pascal expressed her honor and joy at receiving the award. Pascal also gave a live concert after the conference.

After the success of the music video for “Akbar Kidba Bi Hayati”, Pascal is preparing to film a new music video from her latest album.

The new clip will be directed by Lebanese director Mirna Khayat and Pascal will be merging the two songs “Habibi Shu Bahibak” (My Love How I Love You) and “Lao Lisa Faker” (If You Still Remeber) together and presenting them as one story.

Pascal revealed that she will not fall victim of the new trend of clips that has clouded over most music channels, and will make it a point to swim against the tides and fight corruption and make it a point to portray the Arab woman in a respectful and appropriate manner.

The singer noted that she will be renewing her contract with the music production company Rotana, after a fruitful three year contract that will end with the production of three different albums.
