LIALI is a proud sponsor of Dubai Women’s Run 2012

LIALI Jewellery, the leading jewellery retailer in UAE, lent its valuable support to the third edition of the Dubai Women’s Run 2012 held on Friday 9^th November, as part of the company’s continued endeavours to create opportunities for women while benefiting the community as a whole in promoting better health in an inspiring, fun and friendly environment. LIALI sponsored the 5km run which started and finished at Atlantis - The Palm, in the aqua adventure parking. 

It was conducted by the UAE Athletics Federation and was held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum the Crown Prince of Dubai & Chairman of Dubai Sports Council. The event attracted a record number of 3500+ participants from 121 countries.   

The Palm Jumeirah was the running route for the 5km and 10 km races while pepping up the excitement on field were popular radio jockeys, Chris Fade and Priti Malik of Virgin Radio.

The motivating factors to participate in the event were indeed varied. Some of the ladies said that it offered a great opportunity to participate in a supportive and friendly environment and to socialize with other women runners. While the more competitive female runners said it presented an opportunity to be part of the front runners instead of being part of the "chase" group. An all women's race allows them to experience the rush of being first across the finish line instead of being the first woman across the finish line.
