Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor records personal new year’s message to all Al Habtoor Group employees

Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor, Chairman of the Al Habtoor Group has recorded an upbeat New Year’s message for all the Group’s employees. Al Habtoor, who has been at the helm of the Group since inception in 1970, says his employees “are the biggest assets to the Group.” 

On Dubai’s recent win to host the World Expo, he says, “I was always confident that Dubai was going to win the Expo 2020… this is going to create a lot of positivity, not only to the UAE, but to the neighbouring countries too.” 

In his New Year’s message, Al Habtoor said the Group had achieved so much in 2013. He mentioned some of the Group’s achievements this year, including its biggest announcement to date - Al Habtoor City, a multi-billion dirham residential and hospitality project on Sheikh Zayed Road, and the completion of the Waldorf Astoria on the Palm Jumeirah, which is due to open its doors to the public in the coming weeks. 

He said “Al Habtoor Motors is growing day by day, month by month, and achieved great results.”Al Habtoor Motors has expanded significantly over the past 12 months with the addition of two top Chinese brands – JAC Motors and Chery -  plus it has teamed up with global tire makers included Avon, Sumo and General Tires. 

The patriotic Chairman wished everyone all the success for the year ahead, and said everyone must continue to carry the UAE flag high. “The Group’s motto is ‘Growing with the UAE,’ but for the continuation of the business I need your help… I need your loyalty to the Group, not to me, but to the companies you work for, to your unit, not to Khalaf Al Habtoor, and this will help the continuation for all of us for generations to come.”           

He concluded, “We have to be mobilised and ready for the challenges of 2014… We are a local company with an international vision and our aim is to achieve international standards.”

The charismatic Chairman, who is known for his ‘hands-on’ approach has always maintained a close alliance with his employees, “It has always been important for me to stay in touch with the employees from all our units. It helps motivate the staff,” he says.
