The latest batch of young Bahraini graduates supported by KPMG’s Jassim Fakhro Fund, emerge into the marketplace as qualified professional chartered accountants. This milestone highlights the progress of the firm’s flagship development initiative, designed to nurture and support the professional and personal growth of young Bahraini talent. 

The Jassim Fakhro Fund was established in 2001 to honor Jassim Fakhro, co-founder of KPMG in Bahrain and with the ambition to support the professional development of young talented Bahrainis. It provides financial support, coupled with coaching and mentoring from more experienced colleagues to help our talented youth to pursue and successfully complete any professional qualification of their choice.

The Jassim Fakhro Fund is proud to have an alumni database of over 160 Bahraini professionals, and has KPMG in Bahrain reinforces its commitment towards lifelong learning through their ongoing investment of USD $ 1.8 million. 

Jamal Fakhro, Managing Partner of KPMG in Bahrain, commented on this milestone “I am truly honored of the impact made by the Jassim Fakhro Fund over the past 19 years. Shehab Ahmed Nass, KPMG Enterprise Assistant Manager at KPMG in Bahrain, was among the Bahraini graduates. Ebrahim Mubarak, Audit Assistant Manager at KPMG in Bahrain, also added “I am grateful for the support I received from the Jassim Fakhro Fund towards my ACCA qualification, while also engaging me as a full-time employee at KPMG in Bahrain.  It was not an easy task, but I did it with the support of everyone around me; including my family, friends, the management team and my team!”
