Tunisia manager Nabil Maaloul said on Tuesday he is hoping Etoile du Sahel and Club Africain's international players bounce back quickly from their catastrophic results in the Champions League and the Confederation Cup semis and to focus on Tunisia's upcoming World Cup qualifier against Libya next month
Tunisia's representatives in the inter-club African competitions witnessed a 'black Sunday' that saw Etoile du Sahel suffer a humiliating 6-2 defeat by Ahly in the second-leg of the Champions League semi-final to exit the competition with a 7-4 aggregate loss while Club Africain were stunned 3-1 at home to South Africa's Super Sport in the Confederation Cup.
"I hope that players of both clubs bounce back from their frustrating defeats," Maaloul told a Tunisian radio station on Tuesday.
"We will work on the physiological aspect during the upcoming training camp to help the players recover from those defeats."
Group A leaders Tunisia need to avoid defeat when they host Libya on 11 November to secure a World Cup berth.
They are on the top of the group with 13 points, three ahead of second-placed DR Congo who will face the group's bottom side Guinea in the same round.
