Spain boss Vicente del Bosque has called up uncapped teenager Munir El Haddadi to replace the injured Diego Costa in his squad for Monday's Euro 2016 qualifier against Macedonia.

Chelsea striker Costa was forced to pull out of the panel with a hamstring injury sustained in his adopted country's 1-0 friendly loss to France on Thursday night and has returned to Stamford Bridge for treatment.

Consequently, Del Bosque has now turned to Munir, who had only just received his first call-up to the Spain Under-21s earlier this week.

The 19-year-old also only made his Barcelona debut last month but he capped an impressive display with a well-taken goal in a 3-0 win over Elche.

Munir's addition to the Spain squad is made all the more remarkable by the fact that he only broke into the Barcelona B team earlier this year.

Should the teenager feature against Macedonia, it will put to bed all questions over the attacker's international career, with Munir also eligible to play for Morocco until he features in a competitive fixture for Spain.
