Saudi Arabia and Uruguay will meet today at Hard Rock Stadium in Florida,USA, to kick off their 2026 FIFA World Cup campaign.

The Green Falcons and Uruguay will compete in Group H, which also features Spain and Cape Verde.

The Saudi national team is one of the Asian teams that regularly appear in the World Cup, except for missing the 2010 and 2014 editions. 

In their last two appearances, The Green Falcons couldn't advance past the group stage. Their best was reaching the Round of 16 only once in 1994.

On the other hand, Uruguay has top talents and stars playing in the strongest European leagues.

Uruguay has an undeniable history, having won the World Cup twice in 190 and 1950, and reaching the semi-finals in 2010.
