Former Chelsea boss Claudio Ranieri, who is currently the manager of French Ligue 2 club AS Monaco, has confirmed interest in signing former England midfielder David Beckham.
Ranieri, who is backed by Russian billionaire owner Dmitry Rybolovlev, also wants Chelsea's Frank Lampard and believes Beckham can play a pivotal role in the development of Monaco's emerging squad.
Former Manchester United talisman Beckham is considering his options after leaving MLS side LA Galaxy.
"Beckham keeps a passion for football, that's what interests me. It would be helpful in all aspects of the development of the club," the Daily Mail quoted Ranieri, as saying.
"He could share his passion with our young players, at 37 years old, he continues to improve and be professional. All young players need an experienced coach but also references in the locker room," he added. (ANI)
