A number of Omani athletes will participate in the Olympic Games Rio- 2016 which will be held in Brazil in light of the interest of the Omani Olympic Committee and its commitment to the Omani participationin the Olympics, beside athletes from all the countries and nations of the world in this great Olympic athlete event.
Tripartite Committee composed of representatives from the International Olympic Committee, the Organizing Committee for the Olympic Games Rio- 2016 and the concerned international federations (International Shooting Sport Federation ISSF). Hamad al- Khatri and Wadha al- Balushiya were selected to represent the Sultanate in the Olympic Games - Rio- 2016.
