Jordan claimed a tough 1-0 win over Tajikistan in the 2023 AFC Asian Cup quarter-final to reach the semi-final for the first time.

The Jordanians were the better side as they controlled the game, but faced a stubborn opponent that made life difficult for them throughout the encounter.

Vakhdat Hanonov deflected Abdallah Nasib's header into his own goal in the 66th minute giving Jordan a much-needed advantage.

Al Nashama will face either South Korea or Australia in their upcoming semi-final clash.
