ALBAWABA - Brazilians woke up today to a strange alert sent to their phones, the emergency alert was purported to be sent from aliens, warning them that they have arrived - along with words like ‘misanthropy.’
The civil defense alert system, usually used by the government to send weather alerts to citizens, was hijacked by ‘aliens’ between Friday night and early Saturday morning in what turned out to be a cyber attack by unknown individuals.
Ten different alerts were reported in Brazil, with the total number of phones affected still not disclosed, according to the Brazilian National Secretary of Protection and Civil Defense Wolnei Wolff.
“It’s difficult to say whether one or more people participated in this criminal act,” said Wolff. “This is very bad for the system, considering that we are dealing with people’s safety when we issue the alert.”
“Protect yourself: ALIEN ATTACK. Humans, we have arrived,” read one of the messages. The emergency platform went offline after the breach at 1:30 a.m. local time, with no indication of when the services will be available again.
This comes a week after a Brazilian clairvoyant predicted that aliens will come down and reap thousands of fans and players from the Brazil vs. Scotland match on June 24.
