The State of Kuwait Ambassador to Italy Sheikh Ali Al-Khaled Al-Jaber Al-Sabah has held talks with Giovanni Malago, Chairman of the Italian National Olympic Committee, on mutual sports cooperation.
Ambassador Sheikh Ali Al-Khaled held the discussions with chairman Malago to follow up on means of enhancing the Italian-Kuwaiti sports cooperation, within framework of the bilateral friendship relationship, according to a statement by the Kuwaiti Embassy in Italy, released on Saturday.
The conversations between the two sides, held at the Rome Olympic Stadium (Stadio Olimpico), tackled ways of cementing cooperation between the Italian committee with Kuwait Public Sports Authority and Kuwaiti Olympic Committee and Kuwait National Paralympic Committee.
Hailing the ambassador for his special concern for cementing interaction between Italian and Kuwaiti youth, chairman Malago affirmed desire to expand the cooperation with these Kuwaiti sports authorities.
Ambassador Sheikh Ali Al-Khaled brought up other issues during the meeting such as prospects of holding training camps for Kuwaiti sports teams and participation in activities, proceeds of which would go to Syrian refugees coming to Italy.
