Iranians celebrated booking a place in the 2018 World Cup for the fifth time on the streets Monday night.

Iran defeated Uzbekistan 2-0 in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium and advanced to successive FIFA World Cups for the first time in their history.

Sardar Azmoun and Mehdi Taremi scored for Team Melli to cement Iran’s lead at the top of Group A with two matches left.
