Ismailia prosecutors ordered the detention of Egyptian champion and world bronze medalist in wrestling Reem Magdy's father for four days pending investigation, over charges of beating his daughter to death.
Magdy Kaboria, former gold medalist in the African, Mediterranean and World Championships, was accused of beating his 16-year-old daughter to death.
According to the testimony of the mother, Kaboria beat Reem for neglecting her practice and wasting her time on Facebook.
The prosecutors Tuesday ordered that the victim's body to be dug out for a forensic autopsy, after she had been buried.
Media outlets mistakenly circulated that Magdy died in a road accident three days ago.
