ALBAWABA - Two members of the Iran Revolutionary Guard Corps were killed, two more were wounded in a reported ‘terrorist’ attack in Iran, according to Iranian state media.
In the western city of Paveh, close to the border of Iraqi Kurdistan, attackers shot two IRGC members in a “a terrorist and cowardly act” in their homes. While “exact details of this incident and the measures being taken to identify those responsible are under review.”, according to Iranian state media.
The identities of the attackers or their motives have not been confirmed, Iran is wont to blame separatist Kurdish groups in the area for violent acts, accusing them of being backed by the U.S. and Israel.
Similarly, another such terrorist attack occurred on the other side of Iran in the Sistan-Baluchistan province, on the border with Pakistan, where “a family's vehicle was sprayed with bullets” the attack was carried out by “Zionist-American mercenaries” - an Iranian dog whistle which refers to the various separatist groups in the country.
