Egypt grows the jasmine flowers in the Gharbiya region. The harvest season lands between June and November as the aromatic oils extracted from the flowers are used in perfumes which can cover half the global supply, according to international trade figures.
Eman Mehanna, a worker in the fields of jasmine flowers, said: "We have been picking jasmine since we were children."
On the other hand, farmers are usually picking the jasmine flowers around midnight and finishes a few hours after dawn each day.
"You really need to concentrate on looking for the blossoming flowers," Mehanna added.
