ALBAWABA - A video went viral on social media after capturing a deliveryman successfully escaping from a dozen ICE agents by running and riding his bike in Downtown Chicago. Many likened the scene to something they would watch during a cartoon show on television.
According to Christopher Sweat, the original poster of the video, the man in question allegedly made verbal comments towards ICE agents, which triggered the chase. However, Sweat mentioned that he didn't physically attack or threaten the agents.

The clip resulted in a flood of comments from social media users who praised the man for his athleticism. On the contrary, several others called the ICE agents "out of shape" for failing to detain the man.
An Instagram user wrote under the post, "lol them ICE agents OUT of shape."

US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) expanded its operations nationwide after US President Donald Trump took office in January. Since then, ICE has intensified its efforts to detain illegal immigrants across the US.
According to The Guardian, agents have successfully detained more than 59,000 individuals, including 16,523 of whom have no criminal record. In contrast, 15,725 have a record, and 13,767 have pending charges.
In response to Trump's mass deportation order, the US witnessed mass anti-ICE protests across the country. Additionally, the decision triggered a series of criticisms from human rights organizations, legal experts, and more.
