ALBAWABA - US Temu customers recently took to social media and expressed their anger towards Trump's tariffs on China after noticing that the imported taxes on orders from the Chinese shipping platform have skyrocketed.
Several social media users took to Musk's X (formerly known as Twitter) and swarmed the platform with screenshots of their Temu orders. Many noticed that the imported taxes implemented on US orders have more than doubled in price.
A customer shared his $63 order, followed by nearly $90 in imported tax, and wrote, "$89 import charges on $64 worth of Temu merchandise. It has begun…"

Another added to verify the customers' concerns, "Threw a few items into a Temu cart to verify for myself after seeing the screenshots circulating, and it’s true. In case you didn’t know, according to the figures I’ve been able to find, there are 152 MILLION Americans who use Temu daily."
Other customers didn't notice the import fee and were shocked to see the receipt on arrival, prompting them to take to social media and warn other fellow US customers.
Both Temu and Shein, which are Chinese-owned businesses, have warned customers about a hike in prices due to the recent tariffs implemented by US President Donald Trump on China. The US has imposed a whopping 145% on imported goods coming from China, causing the aftermath, which is visible among US customers now.
In response, China implemented a 120% tariff on American goods.
