ALBAWABA - Murat Yıldırım and Fahriye Evcen reunite years after romantic film success.
Turkish television fans are preparing for another major reunion on screen. Murat Yıldırım and Fahriye Evcen are officially working together again in the new “Go Türkiye” miniseries project titled “Turquoise Summer.” The production is already attracting major attention in Turkish media, especially because it marks the stars’ first on-screen collaboration since their romantic film “Sonsuz Aşk” nearly a decade ago.
NTC Media produces the new project for the Turkish Tourism Promotion and Development Agency (TGA). The series, like previous "Go Türkiye" productions, aims to promote Türkiye's tourism, culture, and natural beauty to international audiences through cinematic storytelling.

Filming is currently taking place in Bodrum, one of Türkiye’s most famous holiday destinations. Turkish media reports describe the project as a visually rich summer drama filled with romance, emotional conflict, and breathtaking coastal scenery. The production highlights Bodrum’s turquoise sea, luxury lifestyle, beaches, and natural landscapes.
The series is directed by successful filmmaker Semih Bağcı and written by accomplished screenwriter Kemal Hamamcıoğlu. Alongside Murat Yıldırım and Fahriye Evcen, the cast also includes Sedef Avcı, Aslıhan Karalar, and Yılmaz Bayraktar.
Fahriye Evcen plays the character “Su,” a woman attempting to escape her fate and rebuild her life. Her path unexpectedly crosses with “Toprak,” played by Murat Yıldırım. Turkish entertainment pages describe the story as emotional, romantic, and deeply connected to themes of destiny and second chances.
Sedef Avcı appears as “Derya,” while Aslıhan Karalar plays “Nil” and Yılmaz Bayraktar portrays “Burak.” The first photos from the set have already started circulating online, with fans praising the elegant summer atmosphere and the chemistry between the lead actors.
One of the biggest reasons behind the excitement is the reunion of Murat Yıldırım and Fahriye Evcen after their 2017 romantic drama film “Sonsuz Aşk.” In that movie, Murat Yıldırım played Can, a successful neurosurgeon, while Fahriye Evcen portrayed Zeynep, a woman struggling with a life-changing illness. The emotional film gained attention for its tragic love story and the strong chemistry between the two actors.

Since then, both stars have continued building impressive careers. Murat Yıldırım became internationally famous through hit series including “Ramo,” “Aziz,” and “Teşkilat.” He is also known across the Middle East for hosting “Kim Milyoner Olmak İster?”
Fahriye Evcen remains one of Türkiye’s biggest female stars thanks to projects like “Yaprak Dökümü,” “Çalıkuşu,” and “Alparslan: Büyük Selçuklu.” Her international popularity and fashion influence continue growing every year.
The “Go Türkiye” franchise has already featured many major Turkish stars in previous productions, including Meryem Uzerli, Kaan Urgancıoğlu, Eda Ece, Burak Özçivit, and Ceyda Ateş. The projects aim to strengthen Türkiye’s global tourism image using the worldwide popularity of Turkish dramas.
With the breathtaking scenery of Bodrum and the reunion of two beloved stars, "Turquoise Summer" is already emerging as one of the most highly anticipated Turkish mini-series projects of the year.
