ALBAWABA - American News Anchor Tucker Carlson took the internet by storm after rumors circulated on social media platforms that the individual was reportedly spotted in Moscow to interview the President of Russia Vladimir Putin.

According to Times Now World, the former Fox News anchor's alleged visit to Moscow was to complete his long-lost dream of interviewing Putin as he was reportedly spotted by several journalists on X (formerly known as Twitter) at a security stop in Istanbul's airport and appeared to be on his way to Russia.

In recent news, Tucker confirmed that the interview is happening on his official X account and uploaded a video of himself in Moscow, Russia captioned "Why I'm Interviewing Vladimir Putin" garnering more than 50 million views and around 400,000 likes. He said that the reason behind interviewing the president of Russia was because "it's his job to inform people" since he's in journalism.

Tucker went on to add that there's always a risk in conducting such interviews but claimed that most Americans are not well informed about the ongoing war between Ukraine and Russia.

Tucker Carlson credits Musk in his recent video

Moreover, Tucker credited X and Tesla owner Elon Musk for helping him make the interview with Putin happen and went on to add that the interview will be broadcast on Musk's platform X as the billionaire promised that nothing in the interview will be "suppressed or blocked" as mentioned in Carlson's video.

There hasn't been an official release date for when the interview will happen and broadcast on X.

One user said:

"The easiest way to tell that freedom of speech has been restored to Twitter is when you're about to see Tucker Carlson interview Vladimir Putin without it being censored!"

Tucker is no stranger to causing controversy across America and social media as the individual was fired from his previous job as a news anchor on Fox News. According to Sky News, the man in question had his last show premier on the news outlet in April 2023.

His show, Tucker Carlson Tonight became the highest-rated cable news program for ages between 24 to 25 and after his departure, ratings to the news channel plummeted. The individual was seen questioning COVID-19 vaccinations and touched on many things including controversial topics such as "far-right issues."

Tucker Carlson and the US allegedly spying on him

Carlson allegedly said that he always wanted to interview the Russian President but found out that the US government was spying on him.

According to a post on X (formerly known as Twitter) by media personality Collin Rugg, here's what Tucker Carlson had to say:

"The NSA broke into my signal account, which I didn't know they could do."

'"I got a call from somebody in Washington. This person said: 'Are you gonna come to Washington anytime soon?' Yeah. Actually, I'm gonna be up in a week, meet me Sunday morning."

"So I go, and this person's like: 'Are you planning a trip to go see Putin?' And I was like, 'How would you know that?' I haven't told anybody. I mean anybody. Not my brother. Not my wife, nobody."

"How would you know that? 'Because NSA pulled your text with this other person you were texting.'
