ALBAWABA - A video went viral on Wednesday showing a man, allegedly said to be Syrian, taped to a pole split the Lebanese community and caused wide controversy. according to the first allegations the man was accused of selling donkey meat.

A man was seen in footage hanged to a pole with some men surrounding him when a person was heard shouting and warning: "This is his destiny, anyone, regardless of his nationality, this will be the destiny, he shall be facing." 

Another one in the background was heard asking "What did the man do," when another man responded: "He is selling donkey meat". The incident took place in the central town of Beqaa Valley, Lebanon.

Various and different stories emerged following the video forcing the Lebanese judiciary to reveal the truth behind the video, and it caused shock among the Lebanese society.

Al-Arabiya and Al-Hadath reported citing some people who were involved in the case and revealed that a girl named Soso asked them to read a text by a Christian cleric living in America in exchange for money.

A journalist also clarified that a cleric agreed with a Syrian girl named Soso to bring young Muslims who would appear on TikTok announcing their conversion to Christianity in exchange for $200 a month for the girl.

However, as for the young men, they will get $20 for the video clip. According to Alawrabiya, the priest's aim is to get support from "missionary" organizations.
