ALBAWABA - Social media users were surprised after a video circulated online showing the team of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un meticulously erasing the leader's traces by clearing the chair and surrounding items.

In the clip, a man was spotted cleaning the chair where Kim Jong Un was sitting during his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin. In addition, another woman was seen removing the glass which the North Korean President drank from.

Netizens said Kim's presence includes removing items he touched, sanitizing spaces, and clearing footprints, in line with Pyongyang’s strict security and secrecy protocols.

Online users said that the man was clearing the traces of the North Korean leader during his visit to China's Beijing to meet Chinese President Xi Jinping and Putin and attend the 80th anniversary of World War II.

Kim joined several leaders to attend a military parade that marks the 80th anniversary of victory over Japan and the end of World War II, in Beijing on Sept. 3, 2025.
