ALBAWABA - A disturbing video recently flooded social media, capturing the moment a Dutch police officer forcefully threw a pregnant woman to the ground in the Netherlands.
According to Roya, police officers surrounded the woman and her husband, Wesam Miqdad, a Palestinian refugee who fled Gaza due to the ongoing Israeli aggression since 2023. In response to the police's actions, the husband was captured trying to defend his wife by throwing punches at the officer.

Many human rights activists took to platforms such as X (formerly Twitter) and condemned the violent act, further describing it as "shameful" and "shocking."
A social media user wrote, "I am so disgusted, she is visibly pregnant, she and her partner are actively cooperating."
Another added, "This entire police department should be investigated and that officer should be arrested and charged with aggravated assault."
Online reports state that the woman later confirmed via FaceTime that she safely gave birth to a baby daughter.
