Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh issued on Wednesday Republican Decree No. 9 for the year 2003 forgiving the treason of the so-called 16-Member List who had masterminded the Secession Crime. According to SABA news agency, item I of the decree states that the official pardon targets the following persons: Ali Salem al-Beedh, Haydar Abu Bakr al-Attas, Saleh Munassar al-Sayli, Haytham Qasem Taher, Saleh Ubeid Ahmad, Qasem Yahya Qasem, Muthanna Salem Askar, Mohammed Ali al-Qayrahi, Abdul-Rahman al-Jafri, Anees Hassan Yahya, Salem Mohammed Abdullah, Suleiman Nasser Masood and Ubeid Mubarak Bin Daghr.
Item II of the decree states that the decree must be considered effective starting from the issuance date and published in the Official Gazette. (Albawaba.com)
