Yemeni-Omani demarcation committee hold meeting

Members of the Omani side of the Yemeni-Omani committee for demarcation of maritime borders between the two countries left Sanaa on Wednesday after participating in the first round of the joint committee’s meeting.  

 

Head of the Omani delegation Ahmed bin Youssu al-Harithi told reporters in a pre-departure statement that the two sides made important steps towards the demarcation of the maritime borders between the two countries, terming the talks held in Sanaa recently as positive, according to Qatar News Agency.  

 

He added that the Omani delegation invited the Yemeni members of the committee to visit the Sultanate of Oman, in order to resume discussions on the maritime borders demarcation issue. (Albawaba.com)
