Women of sixteen different nationalities took to the streets of Muscat on Sunday to denounce American plans to invade Iraq, in the first all-female protest in the Omani sultanate's history.
It marked a volunteer effort on the part of an estimated 80 women, angered by the anticipated war against Iraq.
The women held placards and shouted, "war destroys families and turns children into orphans". (Albawaba.com)
