The Women in Business 2006 – 2007 program of events has kicked off with an impressive array of programs, conferences and sessions geared towards the development and support of the business women from a regional and international perspective. Topics ranging from educational, marketing, business and finance are just some of the fields to be covered. Women in Business International has also been a host to a number of awards launched in cooperation the British Exporters Association – Women Business Award and the International Women in Business Achievement Award to be supported by the Commonwealth Business Council to be launched in 2006.
The 2006 – 2007 agenda includes events to be hosted in England including the Women in Business International Annual Forum taking place from the 22nd till the 24th of May 2006 which has witnessed a number of world renowned speakers from the Arab world and the international community. During the month of July, Women in Business will also be hosting a forum on ‘Empowerment of Women in Regeneration of Iraq followed by the Women in Business Networking Dinner titled: “The Future for International Trade” with Guest Speaker – Sir Digby Jones, Director General of Confederation Business and Industry.
In cooperation with the Arab British Chamber the Women in Business International association will be hosting a number of business briefings during the months of June, September and December 2006.
Women in Business International will also be hosting a number of forums and specialized sessions from February till November 2006 taking place in Jordan, Palestine, Kuwait, Syria, UAE and India. A number of initiatives have also been planned for that include: recycling equipment and resources, awards, NGO’s initiatives and specialized training programs.
Women in Business International has also a number of publications gearing for printing that include: Women in Business Magazine, Update on Palestine Report, Training and Support Needs in the Gulf and Development of Businesswomen in Saudi Arabia.
WOMEN IN BUSINESS INTERNATIONAL
A not for profit company that started life by organising ‘Women in Business in the Arab World’, an Annual conference for Businesswomen from the UK and Middle East. The initiative aims to promote and encourage business to business networking and the exchange of knowledge and skills between businesswomen from the UK and the Middle East, and the wider international business community. This successful business network also organises training in the Middle East encouraging the economic participation of women in national economies. The initiative boasts the highest of reputations, past speakers at its conferences and events have included :– Her Majesty Queen Rania of Jordan, Bahia Hariri of Lebanon, Shaikha Hisah Saad Al Sabah of Kuwait, Shaikha Hanadi Al Thani of Qatar, Shaikha Lubna Al Qassimi and Mrs Zanele Mbeki and also a number of leading figures from government and the international business community. As well as running Business Skills Training programmes, Women in Business and the Arab British Chamber of Commerce, have launched a joint membership benefits programme called Women in Business at the Chamber. Recently WIB organised the first Women in Business Sessions at the Jeddah Economic Forum.
