A competition involving vintage cars made before the year 1970 will be amongst the many exciting events organized by the Dubai Customs Automobile Zone (Ducamz), a new key sponsor of the Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) 2002, according to Khaleej Times.
The classic car contest is scheduled to be held at the Ducamz free zone at Al Awir and from there, the participating cars will proceed to Muraqqabat Street. A panel of three or four judges is expected to select winners for three different categories, namely the oldest car, largest car and the most beautiful car.
Announcing the activities Ducamz has lined up during DSF, Amer Ali, Senior Manager, Public Relations, Promotions and Exhibitions at Ports, Customs & Free Zone Corporation, stated, "The main objective of our participation is promoting Dubai's commercial activities and Ducamz at the same time. The programs in DSF for this year are new and are expected to attract a number of visitors."
The activities are due to take place on Muraqqabat Street, the Creek Park and the Ducamz complex at Ras Al Khor on Al Awir Road. (Albawaba.com)
