A US soldier in Iraq died of his wounds after a convoy was hit by a roadside bomb in eastern Baghdad, the military said.
The soldier was evacuated after the attack at about 10:00 a.m. (0600 GMT) on Saturday but later died of his injuries, according to a military statement.
