US President George W. Bush flew into Qatar Wednesday, the first US president in office to visit the oil-rich Gulf emirate.
Bush is scheduled Thursday to meet with Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani at the royal court in Doha, according to Qatari officials.
The reinvigorated Middle East peace process is expected to top the agenda after Bush met for the first time with Prime Ministers Ariel Sharon of Israel and Palestinian Mahmud Abbas at Aqaba in Jordan. (Albawaba.com)
