US offers $25 million reward for information on Saddam whereabouts

The United States on Thursday offered a $25 million reward for information leading to Saddam Hussein's capture or proof that he is dead. Additionally, the U.S. offered another $15 million for similar information on each of the ousted Iraqi leader's sons, Udai and Qusai.  

 

A release by the U.S. military Command in Baghdad said: "The U.S. government is offering a reward of up to $25 million for information leading to the capture of Saddam Hussein or confirmation of his previous death. 

 

"The U.S. government is offering a reward of up to $15 million for information leading to the capture of his sons Udai and Qusai or confirmation of their previous deaths." 

 

The bounty for Saddam matches the $25 million the United States has offered for the leader of Al Qaeda network, Osama bin Laden. (Albawaba.com)
