ALBAWABA - During his visit to Ukraine, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken hinted at the possibility of allowing Ukraine to facilitate long-range arms in their war with Russia.

According to The Guardian, the decision is believed to have already been made in private as the secretary of state says in Kyiv that the US will continue to adapt the policy.

Blinken stated that the US has "from day one" been prepared to adjust its strategy as the circumstances on the battlefield in Ukraine evolved. "We'll keep doing this," Blinken said.

Following their discussions with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, on Wednesday, Blinken and Lammy promised to report back to their "bosses," Joe Biden and Keir Starmer.

The foreign secretary said that geopolitical perspectives in London and Washington have shifted as a result of Iran's ballistic missile shipments to Moscow, which was made public this week. He described it as a "significant and dangerous escalation,".

"The escalator here is Putin. Putin has escalated with the shipment of missiles from Iran. We see a new axis of Russia, Iran, and North Korea," Lammy said. He urged China "not to throw in its lot with what he called "a group of renegades".

For months, Ukraine has been pleading for authorization to strike airfields, missile launchers, and command and control centers located well beyond Russian borders.

Zelenskyy said in a May interview with the Guardian that Biden's equivocation and incremental approach had cost lives. It allowed the Kremlin to "hunt" Ukrainians, he complained.
