The 35-nation governing board of the UN atomic watchdog opened a three-day meeting on Monday behind closed doors with Iran's nuclear program being the main topics of discussion.

Tehran's nuclear case, including the recent report by the International Atomic Energy Agency chief Mohamed ElBaradei and referral of Iran's case to the UN Security Council are among the most important topics.

The IAEA may discuss Iran's case separately on Tuesday evening or Wednesday morning.

According to press reports, differences between the members of the board of governors on how to deal with Iran and the possibility of its referral to the UN Security Council has practically divided members into two parties. According to Irna, This issue might prolong the meeting for one or more weeks.

Meanwhile, a Western diplomat told IRNA on Monday the three major European states (Germany, Britain and France) have been working on their draft resolution on Iran's nuclear case to be presented to the IAEA and the possibility of sending it to the Security Council.
