President Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan received Tuesday a letter from Ukranian President Leonid Kuchma, dealing with the bilateral ties between the two countries, according to Emirates News Agency.
The letter was delivered to Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs by Ukranian Foreign Minister Anatoli Zlenko, at a meeting in Abu Dhabi.
The two Ministers exchanged views on regional and international developments. They specifically discussed the current Middle East situation, the Palestinian issue as well as the situation in Afghanistan.
In addition, the two reviewed ways of enhancing their relations in various areas.
A number of Foreign Ministry officials and delegation members accompanying Zlenko attended the meeting, as well as Ihor Tymofieiev, the Ukranian Ambassador. (Albawaba.com)
