UAE President Receives King of Jordan

UAE President, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, received Jordan's King Abdullah in Abu Dhabi Monday. They discussed relations between the two countries and ways of enhancing them in all realms, according to Khaleej Times. Upon the King’s arrival at the Abu Dhabi airport, he was received by General Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid and other top officials. 

 

The two leaders spoke about the present Arab situation, especially recent developments in Palestine, in light of Israel’s military escalation against the unarmed Palestinians. They shared views on ways to revive the Middle East peace process as well as other international matters of national interest to both countries. 

 

Also present at the meeting were General Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and UAE Defence Minister, Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Sultan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chief of Staff of the UAE Armed Forces Lt-Gen. Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Shaikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Jordan's Prime Minister Ali Abu Ragheb, Prince Ali bin Al Hussein, Chief of the Royal Court Dr Faiz Al Darawnah, Jordan's Ambassador to the UAE Eid Al Rodan, other Shaikhs and senior officials of the UAE.
