A 120-year-old man from the UAE, who had managed to avoid hospital all his life, has died after his first visit to one, according to Gulf News.
In its Tuesday edition, the paper reported that Hassan Saeed Aksh went into hospital on Monday for a minor stomach operation, and died a few hours later.
His sons said their father, a former diver from Ras al-Khaimah, was extremely healthy and alert despite his age. They attributed his longevity to a diet of dates, fish, natural honey and coffee. (Albawaba.com)
