A "criminal gang" was dismantled and its 35 members were arrested in two simultaneous operations conducted by the police and the Gendarmerie on Sunday night in villages near Fez and Meknes, MAP reported on Monday.
The men were arrested as part of the ongoing investigations since May 16 when a spate of bombing attacks in Casablanca killed over 40 people.
During the raids, police and gendarmerie also seized explosive devices, electric detonators, handcuffs, a rifle, hoods, knives and a computer set for the forging of administrative documents and bank notes.
A member of the gang and a Moroccan policeman were killed, while two policemen and two country police agents were injured in the operations.
