Bystander Turns Hero as Muslim Man Stops Deadly Hanukkah Attack in Sydney (Social Media)

ALBAWABA - During a Hanukkah party at Sydney's Bondi Beach on Sunday, a Muslim bystander helped stop an attack that killed at least 12 people and injured more than 10 others.

Australian news outlets said that Ahmad Al-Ahmad was the guy who stepped in. He is a Lebanese Muslim who lives in Sydney. During the chaos, onlookers said he ran toward one of the people attacking, grabbed him from behind, and was able to get the gun away before being shot two times. Al-Ahmad went to the hospital for care. Reports say he is stable now. Officials have not said that he had anything to do with the event before it happened. They say that he acted spontaneously to try to stop the attack and protect people.

A lot of video clips on social media show a man running toward an attacker with a gun during the chaos, taking control of him from behind and grabbing his rifle. Later reports from Australian media said that the man was Ahmed Al-Ahmad. He is a Muslim who lives in Australia. He was shot twice during the fight and is now getting medical care.

In the video, Al-Ahmad is seen running through a parking lot toward a shooter dressed in all black, hitting him and pinning him down. The attacker seems to have stumbled back toward the place where a second person with a gun was standing before losing their weapon.

Reuters reported that the video was real and that the two shooters in the clip were the same people who were later surrounded by police. Authorities say that one of the accused attackers was killed, and the other was hurt very badly and is still in critical condition.

The attack happened at a public event celebrating the Jewish holiday of Hanukkah. This led to a big emergency response and increased security in the area. Officials have called the event a terrorist attack, but investigations into why it happened are still going on.

A lot of people online praised Al-Ahmad's actions right away, with many saying he stopped more killing. People on social media said that he was very brave to step in and probably saved a lot of lives.
