Following a long awaited initiative by the capital’s Municipality and the Bahraini Ministry of Agriculture, two of Bahrain’s oldest parks, the Water and Al Andalus gardens, each over 40 years old, are expected to undergo soon major renovation and redevelopment works.
The Chairman of the Capital’s Municipality Council, Murtaza Bader, reports Gulf Daily News, said that the planned projects are still in their early stages and that no budget has been set yet but underlined that in any case, the works will be funded by the national municipal fund and not out of the council's own funds.
