Four explosions rocked the Iraqi capital overnight, damaging residential buildings and other properties, leaving one person injured as a wall collapsed, according to Al Jazeera satellite TV channel.

The TV channel, which ran footage of damaged homes, said that there was no immediate word on the blast from Iraqi authorities.

It quoted observers as saying that the explosion might have been carried out “in retaliation for attacks on Iraqi bases of the outlawed Iranian organization, Mujahedden Khalq,” or by Iraqi opposition groups.”

On March 21, six Iraqi civilians were hurt in a Baghdad explosion that Iraqi authorities blamed on agents working for Iran, Iraq's foe in a 1980-1988 war – Albawbaa.com
