Turkey to Clean Borders with Syria from Mines

Farmers in the southeastern areas of Anatolia has welcomed the decision of the Turkish government to clean the vast areas of the borders with Syria from mines, with the aim to prepare it for cultivation, reported the Arabicnews.com  

Well-informed sources were quoted by the news service as saying that “the recent Turkish decision is considered another positive step to developing bilateral relations between Syria and Turkey.” 

The Turkish daily Hurriet said that the Turkish Prime Minister Bulent Ecevit explained that cleaning the border strip between Syria and Turkey from mines is considered an important project in the framework of the attempts to improve the economy in the region – Albawaba.com
