ALBAWABA -A person was arrested in Germany after throwing a red substance on Reza Pahlavi, the former crown price on Iran.
Footage was shared on social media showing Pahlavi walking in the street surrounded by guards when a man came from the back and threw red liquid on the political figure.
According to Reuters, the person who threw the red liquid on the exiled son of Iran's last shah was arrested at the scene.
Reza Pahlavi called on European governments not to appease Iran's leadership, saying continuing to negotiate would only keep the current power system in place, as he is calling for regime change.
The political figure departed a news briefing at Germany’s federal press conference building, during which he criticized the ceasefire between the U.S. and Iran. After leaving the building, the incident happened.
However, Associated Press said that Reza appeared safe and unhurt; he even waved to his supporters before riding into a car and departing the place.
German police said the liquid appeared to be tomato juice.
