ALBAWABA - U.S. President Donald Trump has said that peace talks are planned between the U.S. and Iran on Monday as the U.S. cancels what was rumored to be the biggest strike on Iran yet.
While stating that talks will take place on Monday, Trump declined to give a deadline for an agreement to take place. He added that he called off his attack which was “bigger than ever before” on Iran after allies, namely Middle Eastern countries, asked him to stop the attack in anticipation of a deal being made.
Trump said that the Middle Eastern countries assured him that the proposed deal would lead to “the Immediate, Complete and Total” reopening of the strait and "an end to Iran's nuclear threat" with him adding that Tehran must "rapidly make a DEAL."
As attacks spread across the Middle East, from the Gulf to the Red Sea, and even a Mediterranean port facility in Egypt, during the latest round of escalation, Trump stated:
"Would I rather make a deal? I'm not looking to kill people because people die, a lot of people die, and we don't want that," Without giving any specifics of where the deal would take place or who would be involved or the deadline.
The news has sent Brent oil prices down 4.8 percent since the morning.
