ALBAWABA — Giant billboards have popped up throughout Tehran, raising tensions between Iran and the United States with menacing pictures of U.S. President Donald Trump and his family following recent American military actions.
One of the exhibits had Trump in a coffin with a Persian-language sign demanding for his death. Another shows the White House burning with Trump and members of his family in coffins below the words **"Blood for Blood."**
Another billboard references the recent death of U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham with the question "Who's Next?", and the hashtag #LindseyGraham and large initials "D.T.", which has led to speculation that the imagery is meant as a warning to Trump. Official Iranian statements have not claimed Graham’s death, and US authorities have blamed it on illness.
The billboards came amid heightened military tensions between Washington and Tehran in recent weeks, with both sides trading threats following U.S. operations against Iranian targets.
Tehran has long been decorated with enormous murals in prominent spots, with Iran using them to convey political and ideological ideas. “These latest displays are some of the most aggressive visual campaigns in recent years,” analysts say, using graphic imagery that appears to threaten key American leaders and suggest an ongoing struggle with the United States.
