Eleven factory workers and a microbus driver were killed on Sunday when their vehicle crashed with a truck in the Sinai Peninsula, police said.

The accident took place some 350 kilometers northeast of the capital Cairo when the microbus heading to el-Arish,

in northeastern Sinai, sped up to surpass another microbus.

The crash left the microbus driver and 11 passengers killed. One passenger survived the crash and was

transferred to the el-Arish hospital for medical treatment, according to SPA.
