Three people injured in Bahrain by missile debris

ALBAWABA - Three people were injured, and there was material damage to the building of one of the universities in the Muharraq region following the fall of rocket shrapnel, a statement by Bahrain's Ministry of Interior on Sunday said.

In a statement on X, Bahrain's Ministry of Interior wrote, "As a result of the blatant Iranian aggression… 3 people were injured and material damage to the building of one of the universities in the Muharraq region following the fall of rocket shrapnel."

Earlier, the ministry warned citizens that "The siren has been sounded" and called on citizens and residents to remain calm and head to the nearest safe place."

Nonetheless, Israeli radio reported that the army detected missile launches from Iran, and that air defenses were working to intercept them.

In addition, the Public Institution for Social Security (PIFSS) announced that its main building sustained material damage after being targeted early Sunday by Iran.

In a statement, PIFSS said its headquarters would remain closed to the public on Sunday, March 8, while other branches would continue to receive visitors.
