Three more people in western Algeria, including a toddler, have been diagnosed with bubonic plague, adding to a dozen cases discovered in the area over the past month, the country’s health ministry announced, cited by AFP.
The latest cases, including an 18-month-old baby, were uncovered in the areas of Mascara, Oran and Ain Temouchent, between 360 kilometers and 520 kilometers west of the capital of Algiers, the ministry said on Tuesday. (Albawaba.com)
