The Director General of the Department of Industrial Promotion for the Thai Ministry of Industry, inaugurated the Dubai leg of the Bangkok Fashion City Roadshow (BFCR) today as it prepared to show off the best of Thailand’s design industry at the PRESTIGE exhibition. His Excellency, Prasan Teprak, Consul General of the Royal Thai Consulate in Dubai, was present as guest of honour at the inauguration.
His Excellency, Mr. Teprak commented, “We are very proud to be associated with this exhibition and fully support the Government of Thailand’s aim to spread the word about the fantastic fashion designs coming out of the country. The BFCR is being expertly organised by JSL Company Ltd and we hope to welcome many visitors from Dubai to view the unique designs being showcased.”
By the end of its tour, the BFC Roadshow will have showcased Thai fashion to more than eight countries including: Switzerland, China, France, Hong Kong, Italy, Australia, the United States and the UAE. The Thai designers participating in the show were specially selected for their innovative and exceptional design talents, and were hand picked from hundreds of applicants. Exhibitors endured a rigorous pre-qualification process and represent the cutting edge of Thai fashion industry designers.
The visiting designers will be meeting buyers and distributors from around the globe at the PRESTIGE exhibition. Exhibitors meet international standards of excellence and artistically fuse Western and Thai trends to qualify for the tour.
