Iran’s Minister of Interior Abdolvahed Musavi-Lari dismissed Tehran mayor Mohammad-Hasan Malek-Madani, a week after the dissolution of Tehran's city council amid factional feuding, according to press reports Tuesday.
He was replaced by Mohammad-Hossein Moqimi, Deputy Interior Minister for Development Affairs, who will take over the position until the nomination of a new mayor by the future city council after municipal elections, due to be held on February 28. (Albawaba.com)
