Two members of the Palestinian military intelligence were killed and seven injured in an Israeli attack on their unit on Mount Eibal near the West Bank city of Nablus, said reports.
Al Jazeera satellite channel said that the shelling was ongoing by 13:30 local time (11:30 GMT) Thursday.
Meanwhile, the station said that the Israeli forces had earlier in the day occupied a hill overlooking the Nablus village of Kufur Qalleel.
The Israeli forces also injured seven Palestinians the Gaza Strip as they bombarded Rafah area.
